Head Coach Frank Lenti -
- Named Mount Carmel's 18th head football coach in April of 1984
- Compiled a record of 284 wins and 47 losses over his 25-year career as head football coach.
- Led the Caravan to nine state championships in thirteen state title game appearances.
- Qualified for the IHSA state tournament a record 23 straight seasons.
- Owns an overall playoff record of 83 wins and 14 losses.
- Led the Caravan to three Prep Bowl Championships and 16 Catholic League titles and since 1988.
- A Catholic League regular season record of 123-12 since 1988.
- A 1969 Mount Carmel graduate and captain of the baseball team during his senior year, winning all-league honors
- Graduated from Loyola University and went on to get his Masters degree from Chicago State University.
- Served as a graduate assistant under Lou Holtz at the University of Arkansas.
- Made coaching stops at St. Francis De Sales and Thornton High Schools before returning to Mount Carmel in 1982.
- Frank has been a featured guest at Notre Dame, Michigan, Purdue, Wisconsin and Minnesota.
- During his tenure Mount Carmel has had 25 All-State selections and 2 All-Americans.
- Five-time Lawless Award winner (for best Catholic League Head Coach)
- 1993 Chicago Park District Chicagoan of the Year.
- Inducted into Chicago Catholic Hall of Fame in 1994.
- 1996 American Football Quarterly National High School Coach of the Year.
- Voted National Federation of Interscholastic Coaches Association Coach of the Year in 1997.
- 1998 Nike U.S.A. High School Coach of the Year.
- Inducted into Chicagoland Sports Hal of Fame in 1999.
- Named Chicago Tribune High School Coach of the Century.
- Chicago Bears Prep Coach of the Week in 2001.
- 2002 National Football Foundation and College Hall of Fame Illinois Coach of the Year.
- National Federation of State High School Association Illinois Coach of the Yearin 2002.
- John Lattner Award for Excellence - Chicago Sports Hall of Fame in 2002.
- Inducted into Illinois High School Football Coaches Hall of Fame in 2008.
- Also serves as Mount Carmel’s Athletic Director and resides in South Holland with his wife Kim.
- His son Frank is a 2007 graduate of the University of Illinois and was a member of the 2008 Rose Bowl team. His daughter Lauren is a 2009 graduate of DePaul University.
