Dear Friends of Mount Carmel,

Welcome to our Web site! Since 1994, Mount Carmel High School has had a website (which is only about one year after the "World Wide Web" and the first web browsers came on the scene in 1993). Our school is continually updating not only our web site, but our computer facilities and our overall technology within the school.

In 1999, our entire school was wired using fiberoptic and ethernet cabling. Beginning in 2000, every classroom has a computer with internet/intranet access. We have three computer labs, in addition to eight computers in our Journalism room, five computers in the library, and eight computers available for our students in the McDermott/Doyle program. Our science labs are also equipped with computers for data gathering and presentation.  In 2006, we went online with grading and other resources available to students and parents when we adopted our Edline system.

We are proud of the quality and quantity of data we can provide for you through our web site. I would like to especially thank Fr. Glenn Snow, O.Carm., our technology coordinator from 1997 - 2002, for the ministry he provided the school by originally creating, updating and maintaining our web site.

The 21st Century will surely see many more advances in technology, and we have made the commitment to pass those advances along to our students and those who visit our web page. Thank you for visiting with us and may Our Lady of Mount Carmel protect you.

In Carmel,

Fr. Carl J. Markelz, O.Carm.

Principal
