Mount Carmel’s Third Business After Hours is a Success!
Mount Carmel’s Alumni Association held its third Business After Hours event on Thursday, January 24, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. The featured speaker for the evening was Mr. Paul McCarthy ‘64, Chairman of the Board of Marquette Bank. The gathering was held in the Frank Kizska Alumni suite of Mount Carmel’s new Convocation Center.
The events are intended to promote business, employment and social networking opportunities among Carmel’s alumni. Previous events have successfully linked alumni with new business and employment.
Dennis Ryan ‘67, one of the events organizers, said “Carmel alums have been helping each other with business and employment opportunities for generations. These evenings are intended to increase these opportunities for all alumni.”

Alumni Put In Overtime
On Thursday, September 13 the second Alumni Business After Hours was held in the Frank Kiszka Alumni Suite at Mount Carmel High School.
The evening was geared toward those who work in the sales and/or marketing industries, and those who are in business for themselves. The main goal of the evening was to help those interested develop ideas to help promote their own business interests and offer support to fellow alumni. Approximately fifty alumni gathered to network, informally discuss business opportunities, and socialize. The evening featured remarks from fellow alum, and Beverly resident, Dennis Ryan ’67. Dennis related his own networking experiences and urged the group to help one another pursue their business interests.
The next Alumni Business After Hours is scheduled for the spring. We would like to extend a special invitation to younger graduates who may be either beginning their work careers, or considering a career change. This evening will be an excellent opportunity to informally discuss career plans with fellow alumni.
