On Thursday, April 17, Mount Carmel High School juniors Eric Secviar, Jack Tangel (St. Barnabas), and Tom Vajda attended the Holocaust Remembrance Day Ceremony at the Spertus Institute of Jewish Studies.  The event was sponsored by the Spertus Institute and the Mayor’s Office of Special Events.  Pictured above are Eric Secviar, Jack Tangel, and Tom Vajda with the Honorable Mayor Richard M. Daley.  The Ceremony concluded with an emotional candle lighting in which Jack Tangel escorted Key Note Speaker and Holocaust Survivor, Ms.  Marguerite Mishkin, to light her candle.
