(Chicago, IL) – Mount Carmel High School, Chicago’s premier Catholic college preparatory school for young men, invites eighth grade students to the 2012 Entrance Exam. The Entrance Exam, which is scheduled by the Archdiocese of Chicago, will take place Saturday, January 14 at 8:00 a.m
To recognize academic excellence, Mount Carmel offers academic scholarship opportunities for incoming freshmen who take the 2012 Entrance Exam at Mount Carmel. Every incoming freshman who tests at the 85th national percentile or above will receive an academic scholarship. The following renewable tuition reductions, or academic scholarships, are available to incoming freshmen based on their performance on the Entrance Exam.
Academic Scholarship Award
|Full tuition scholarship for the student’s freshman year. $4000 reduction per year for the student’s sophomore through senior years if the student maintains a GPA of 4.0 or higher
||$3000 reduction per year for the student’s freshman through senior years if the student maintains a GPA of 3.75 or higher
||$2500 reduction per year for the student’s freshman through senior years if the student maintains a GPA of 3.5 or higher
||$2000 reduction per year for the student’s freshman through senior years if the student maintains a GPA of 3.25 or higher
