Mount Carmel Names New President
Fr. William Harry, Prior Provincial of the Carmelite Province of the Most Pure Heart of Mary, and the Board of Members of Mount Carmel High School announced today the appointment of Edward (Ned) Hughes, Mount Carmel Class of 1970, as president of Mount Carmel High School. Hughes, who will succeed current president Fr. Tony will become the first lay president of the 116-year old school upon assuming his leadership role on July 1, 2016.

Xavier Strong '17 (Chicago, Auburn Gresham) has been selected to represent Mount Carmel High School and the State of Illinois at the 2017 Presidential Inauguration Youth Leadership Congress in Washington, D.C from January 20-22nd, 2017.
