Class of 2025 Admissions Timeline

October 12, 2020 – Financial Aid Application Opens, click here to apply for financial aid
October 27, 2020 - Mount Carmel Online Admissions Application, click here to apply to Mount Carmel
November 13, 2020 – Pre-Registration for the Mount Carmel Entrance Exam, click here to register for the Mount Carmel entrance exam.
Registration is not required but is advisable. Walk-ins are accepted.  Click here to register for the Mount Carmel Entrance Exam.
November 30, 2020 – Deadline to submit documentation (IEP, 403b) to McDermott Doyle to receive entrance exam accommodations. Email to modonnell@mchs.org and cferguson@mchs.org.  If you would like to provide any other documentation or have questions please contact Mrs. O'Donnell and Mr. Ferguson.

* Please note: you may only take the HPST at one Catholic High School, you are only allowed to take the make up exam if this is your only time taking the test.

February 1, 2021 – Admissions Decision Letters mailed including cost certain scholarship 
February 15, 2021 – Academic Placement Letters mailed (include appeal process)

March 1, 2021 – Application based scholarship awards and financial aid letters mailed

Now that you have taken the exam, What's Next?

Post exam next steps and reminders

  • Parental Request for Release of Records and submit your grammar school transcripts immediately.  Records and letters of recommendation should be submitted to Mount Carmel no later than December 21st.   Schools may send a hard copy or email records to cferguson@mchs.org.
  • Freshman interview.  In addition to reviewing placement test results and 7th and 8th grade academic records, we invite each freshman and at least one parent to participate in an interview as part of the admissions process.   Interviews will be held on the following dates from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m:
    • Time slots will be provided 
  • Physical Form and upload the completed document to the school portal under your checklist. This form must be completed by July 1, 2021.
  • Any exemption requests for immunizations or examinations due to religious reasons.  Parents must complete this form.


All families, regardless of their selected payment plan chosen will be enrolled in Smart Tuition once registration for the upcoming school year is complete. Smart Tuition is our tuition management system that enables you to pay your tuition by credit card or through a savings or checking account.
