Giving Tuesday 2018

We’re counting on our community of heroes to help us reach the #BrownTuesday2018 goal of $50,000.

We’re counting on you.
The heroes who currently occupy the classrooms at 6410 dream of being real-life heroes beyond graduation:  artists, writers, doctors, lawyers, teachers, businessmen, first responders, and so much more. In order to enroll and retain young men of character who are willing to push themselves to achieve these goals, it is critical that we have funds for financial assistance and that we are constantly growing in academics, spirituality, the arts, and athletics. On #BrownTuesday, we call on the entire Caravan community – past and present – to band together to ensure that we can continue to expand the music program, to buy more equipment for our rapidly-growing STEM cohort, and to meet the financial needs of families who are committed to our Catholic, Carmelite ideals and traditions.

On November 27, 2018 make your gift in support of our Men of Carmel Fund. We hope you will use this day to share the joy of giving back. You may forward this page to family and friends and use the hashtags #GivingTuesday, #BrownTuesday, #WeAreMC on social media. Don’t forget to follow @MountCarmelHS on Twitter for updates on our progress throughout #BrownTuesday.

The idea originated as a response to the commercialization of the days following Thanksgiving, known as Black Friday and Cyber Monday. Our #GivingTuesday campaign, known as #BrownTuesday, is an opportunity for the MC community to celebrate everything that makes the Mount Carmel experience exceptional and to give back.

As the primary source of funding for Mount Carmel High School’s areas of greatest need, the Men of Carmel Fund, ensures that young men (regardless of financial circumstance) can continue to call 6410 S. Dante their home for generations to come. Each year, alumni, parents and friends of Mount Carmel High School unite to contribute more than a quarter of a million dollars to advance our mission of educating young men to “Live with Zeal for God, for life and for learning.”
If you would like to be involved in #BrownTuesday or to find out more information, please contact Adrienne McArdle, Director of Annual Giving and Scholarships, at amcardle@mchs.org or 773.324.1020 ext. 226.
