Caravan Relief Fund

We hope you and your loved ones are remaining safe and healthy during the COVID-19 pandemic. Our main concern during this challenging time is, as always, the safety and wellness of our community. As we continue to monitor the implications of COVID-19 from the Centers for Disease Control (CDC), the Archdiocese and Governor Pritzker we will continue to follow their guidance to keep everyone safe.
During this difficult time we are fortunate to have an amazing Mount Carmel family of dedicated staff, faculty, students, families, alum and supporters. As members of the Caravan we know that coming together in times of distress and relying on one another is critical to getting through any obstacles we have to face.
Together we will work as One Caravan and overcome the challenges currently facing Mount Carmel, we are Caravan Tough, we are MC!

While on-site teaching at the school is currently suspended, our commitment to our students and the entire Caravan Community has not changed. We continue to support everyone with the resources they need to navigate the current situation. We also remain committed to the Carmelite Charism of Community, Service, and Prayer.
  • Students and faculty moved to an E-Learning format through April 30th.
  • Working every day to continue their journey to be Men of Carmel
  • All facilities remain closed and extracurricular activities have been canceled.
Mount Carmel remains steadfast in our mission to provide the highest quality education, building character for young men and creating a strong foundation for lifelong success.

In accordance with CDC guidelines and state regulations, we have evaluated our upcoming events and will be switching to virtual options if possible. If you have a ticket to one of our upcoming events please continue to watch for updates. We have some exciting ideas and look forward to sharing them with you soon!

5/1 – Alumni Banquet
The Alumni Association is planning to have this event at the earliest and safest date available.  We will work with them to communicate this date as soon as possible.

5/2 – Fight Night
Because the young men are not able to train properly, it is in their best interest and for their safety to postpone Fight Night.  It is our desire, as well as the Fathers’ Club to reschedule this event as soon as we are able.
What a year it has been! As we look back on the 2019-2020 school year and reflect on the highs and lows one thing is for certain, it has been turbulent times for all of us.
As we wrap up the school year and look forward to students returning this fall we are faced with some challenges. The school was unable to host some of the largest fundraisers we rely on to provide financial assistance to our students and we are asking that anyone who is able to do so find it in their hearts to make a contribution so that we may honor our commitment to every student at Mount Carmel.

Your donation today will make more of a difference than you will ever know. It could very well be the difference between a student being able to continue his education at Mount Carmel and being forced to leave his academics, friends and teams behind.
