Class Caption Outreach

Mount Carmel Class Captains are our most important volunteers in the Alumni Association and the key to maintaining a strong relationship between Caravan Alumni and our school. Class Captains require a minimal time commitment, the interest to keep in touch with classmates and remain active in Mount Carmel High School. We currently have many outstanding Class Captains, but some classes are still without representation and others could use additional help. The role of the Class Captain does not have to be a single individual. Multiple classmates can collaborate on the duties of the Class Captain.

What does a Class Captain do?
  • Work with the Director of Alumni Relations to maintain up to date contact information for your class.
  • Communicate with your classmates through email, phone or social media. (Many Classes have their own facebook pages).
  • Collect news for the Class Notes section of Carmel Life magazine.
  • Keep classmates up-to-date on news about Mount Carmel High School.
  • Encourage classmates to attend and participate in alumni and school events such as, Alumni Banquet, Frank Kiszka Memorial Golf Outing, Alumni Mass of Remembrance, Fight Night, 6410 Luncheons, etc.
  • Promote class participation in the Alumni Dues Campaign.
  • Serve as a member of a reunion planning committee.

In August we will begin our 119th year of educating young men in the Catholic, Carmelite tradition and we remain the premier all boys Catholic high school in the Chicago area.  Let’s work together to ensure that this great institution remains for future generations.

If you are interested in becoming a Class Captain, please contact Craig Ferguson ’79, Director of Alumni Relations at cferguson@mchs.org or 773-324-1020 x290.
