Wrestling Fundraiser

For the past 9 years, the supporters of Mount Carmel Wrestling have gathered on the second Saturday in January for a fundraiser at Cork & Kerry in the Beverly neighborhood. To date, the events have raised over $75,000.

Each year the Caravan Wrestling team travels to national tournaments in Ohio, Wisconsin, and Illinois, and in the past few years, has been recognized and even ranked nationally. The proceeds from this fundraiser help to offset the cost of travel, allowing our student-athletes the opportunity to compete against some of the best high school programs in the country.

The annual social is always one of the highlights of the season, as wrestling alumni have a chance to catch up with each other, as well as mingle with the current coaches, athletes, and families, sharing stories about the accomplishments of Caravan wrestlers, past and present. The event also features a silent auction, raffle and spirit wear sales.

We send a big thanks to Cork & Kerry owners Bill Guide ‘89 and Mike Fitzpatrick ‘90, and our biggest supporter, Hall of Famer Jack Keane, ‘60, for hosting the event, and invite all MC Wrestling alumni & fans to join us next year on Saturday, January 12, 2019.
