The Mount Carmel Caravan placed fifth in a five-game junior varsity Chicago Catholic League championship tournament at Poplar Creek Bowl on Saturday, January 5th, 2019.
In the first game, Cristian Martinez '22 bowled 191 pins of a team 761 total.
The Caravan scored 647 in the second game.
In the third game, Holden Shimala '21 bowled 162 pins of a team 635 total.
After lunch, a rejuvinated Trent Smith '20 bowled 211 pins, bringing the MC boys out of a lull. The team laid down 724 pins in the fourth game.
With a grueling 714 finish in the fifth game, the Caravan totaled 3,481 pins for the day, placing 5th of 8 teams competing in the championship bracket.
