AP classes not only demand that students complete college-level material at a college-level pace, but invite students to fully immerse themselves in their area of interest. AP classes are carefully designed by faculty and administration to prepare students for success on the year-end AP exams, which determine whether a student may earn college credit for his work. Past Mount Carmel Honors/AP students have achieved such high levels of success on these exams that they earned enough credits to bypass their freshman year of college.
Graduates of Mount Carmel's Honor's/AP Program have matriculated to such prestigious colleges and Universities as Harvard, Stanford, Yale, Princeton, Columbia, Duke, Cornell, Notre Dame, West Point, Air Force Academy, and University of Chicago, just to name a few. They go on not only to pursue careers in such fields as medicine, law, education, politics, business, engineering, and research, but they also establish themselves as leaders at the forefront of their respective fields.
