The Admissions Associate will recruit and network successfully with representatives from various communities, organizations, neighborhoods, and schools primarily focused on the Hispanic population. This position will develop initial contact with prospective students through grammar school visits and open houses, as well as assist with summer camps to bring prospective students on campus; lead tours for prospective students and parents; help to coordinate on-campus events for prospective students and parents.
The Admissions Associate will collaborate with the admissions team to develop and implement both short-term and long-term recruitment and retention strategies to ensure Mount Carmel High School meets enrollment objectives. This position will play an instrumental role in recruitment and retention for Mount Carmel and will conduct outreach to prospective families and contribute to enrolling promising students who both thrive as part of the school community and in turn contribute to the community as a whole.
The ideal candidate will be a team player with a high level of positive energy and enthusiasm who has a genuine collaborative nature. The Admissions Associate will have the ability to think creatively and adapt to challenging situations. This person must possess superior organization and prioritization skills and be self-motivated in the completion of his/her work. He/She will have exceptional communication and interpersonal skills including outstanding writing and public speaking skills and the ability to interact comfortably with a variety of people. The Admissions Associate will have a passion for Catholic all-male education, a genuine empathy for prospective families and an awareness of the needs and sensitivities of parents, students, faculty, staff, and administrators.
The Admissions Associate will establish and maintain positive lasting relationships externally with area educational constituencies including prospective students and their families, area schools (principals, teachers, guidance counselors), churches (priest and religious education directors), youth clubs, admissions directors, and organizations as well as internally with administrative leadership, staff and faculty.
Other requirements of this position include but are not limited to the following:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
- Fluent in Spanish highly preferred
- Ability to work nights and weekends.
