Caravan: Our Next Chapter Campaign
The Caravan: Our Next Chapter Campaign is focused on strengthening the Mount Carmel experience by broadening academic opportunities, rewarding excellence in teaching, and supporting the families who make our community strong.
While each chapter of the Caravan story is unique, we continue to travel forward together—united in brotherhood, purpose, and a commitment to constant learning.
Over the next five years, the campaign aims to raise $13,800,000 to advance these priorities:
1. Transform the Student Center into a Modern Performing Arts Center
Update: Thanks to the extraordinary generosity of Don and Peggy Barry and Marty and Julie Hughes, the Barry–Hughes Performing Arts Center is now open and already enhancing the student experience.
2. Begin Phase I Renovations of Haggerty Field
Field realignment, a new backstop, new dugouts, and upgraded bleachers.
Update: The Do-It-Stevies Way Foundation has made a major lead investment, providing nearly 50% of the funds needed to complete Phase I.
3. Build Out a Modern Wrestling Room
Update: Through the remarkable generosity of two members of the Class of 1963, the new wrestling room is complete and in full use.
4. Expand Tuition Assistance and Scholarships
Ensuring that cost is never an obstacle for a deserving young man.
5. Complete Renovations to the Main School Building
Upgrades to classrooms, labs, and essential infrastructure to support modern teaching and learning.
6. Grow the Matt Smith Teacher Fund
Building a sustainable, endowed resource dedicated to attracting and retaining a world-class faculty.
