Father’s first assignment was at Mount Carmel High School in Chicago, Illinois from 1966 to 1976, as both a teacher and as local vocation coordinator. He then served on the faculty at DeSales High School in Louisville, Kentucky, from 1976-1978, returning to Mount Carmel High School in 1978 to again serve on the faculty, from 1978 to 1986. Father went on to serve as Associate Paster at St. Matthew Parish in Glendale Heights, Illinois, from 1986 to 1990 and from 2006 to 2008. From 1990 to 2006 he served as Pastor at Our Lady of Mount Carmel in Darien, Illinois.
