All guests will be required to present a ticket for entry.
Graduates were issued their tickets at graduation practice.
Seating is not assigned. It will be first come, first serve.
All candidates are expected to be in full regalia by 4:45 p.m. in the courtyard or auditorium (weather permitting).
Faculty and Staff will be on hand to direct candidates directly to the auditorium upon arrival.
Candidate Dress Code - NO EXCEPTIONS WILL BE MADE:
Candidates must wear their issued Mount Carmel Cap and Gown and tassel / stole / NHS pin when appropriate.
Candidates are prohibited from tossing their caps in the air at any time per the guidelines from the Cathedral.
Caps and gowns must not be altered (or decorated) in any manner.
Caps and gowns should be removed from the packaging, gowns should be steamed but SHOULD NOT BE IRONED.
Dress pants or khakis and collared shirts and ties are required.
Candidates do not have to wear a sport coat under their gowns to keep from overheating.
Candidates may leave a sport coat in their car or the auditorium should they want one for family photos or going to dinner afterwards.
Dress shoes are required – no crocs, sandals, gym shoes, slides, slippers, Yeezies or the like.
All regular dress code rules pertaining to hair, facial hair, tattoos and jewelry still apply.

Failure to adhere to any of the above will result in the candidate not participating in the graduation ceremony.
Exit:
Graduates will exit the Cathedral in procession form at the conclusion of the ceremony.
Graduates will return to the auditorium and collect their official Mount Carmel Diploma from their counselor at this time.
All balances must be paid in full, and all credits recovered successfully in order for the candidate’s Mount Carmel Diploma to be presented that evening.
Families will meet their graduate afterward and may take photos inside the Cathedral on their own.
Notes for parents and guardians:
ALL parents and guests are to remain in their seats during the duration of the Mass and Ceremony.
Parents are not permitted to enter the aisles of the Cathedral for any reason during the Mass or the Ceremony.
Noisemakers, balloons, horns, etc. are not allowed.
Phones and cameras should not be used during the celebration of the Mass

Parents are asked to remain seated during the distribution of diplomas. Photos of your son receiving his diploma will only be available for purchase from Alpha Photography.
