We have scholarships available for two Family & Consumer Sciences (FCS) freshmen every year. Each scholarship is $4,000 per year and is renewable each year. Each student works one-on-one with a FCS faculty member to complete a research or creative project. We have several different major options within the FCS Department including nutrition & dietetics, public health education, hospitality leadership, retail merchandising, FCS teacher education, and FCS. The Lyceum Program uses a Great Books approach to studying liberty, capitalism, the American Founding, and moral character. All Lyceum Scholars are assigned faculty “Socratic Tutors” who guide their intellectual development for their entire four-year education. Edison Scholars Program - $40,000 - 30 Awards (Deadline: December 14, 2020) To be eligible for the scholarship a student must: A) Must be a high school senior with at least a cumulative 3.0 GPA, plan to pursue studies in the STEM fields at a four-year accredited college or university and show financial need. Eligible STEM majors include computer and information systems, engineering, engineering technology, management information systems, mathematics, natural resources and conservation and physical sciences. Equitable Excellence Scholarship - $25,000 - 52 Awards (Deadline: December 15, 2020) To be eligible for the scholarship a student must: A) Be United States citizens or legal residents living or claiming residency in one of the 50 united states, Washington, D.C. or Puerto Rico. B) Be current high school seniors who plan to enroll full-time in an accredited two-year or four-year college.
