One word is often mentioned when students summarize their Mount Carmel experience: Family. The outstanding support and involvement of Mount Carmel parents has helped our true family atmosphere to remain a mainstay of the Mount Carmel tradition since our founding in 1900.

    We congratulate Coach Phil Segroves who has been nominated for “Coach of the Year” by the Illinois High School Basketball Coaches Association.  The award winner will be named later this year.   Mount Carmel is proud that the success Coach Segroves and the varsity team achieved this year has been recognized by this prestigious organization.

  • BAPA Clean and Green Event April 27

    On Saturday, April 27, from 9 am to noon, the Beverly Area Planning Assn. will conduct its annual Clean and Green event. Dozens of volunteers will assemble at area parks to gather up twelve months worth of leaves and debris, and do some planting.  This is a great way for MC students who live in the Beverly area to make a contribution to your neighborhood.  It's also the kind of community service that colleges expect to see on a student's application.  See Mr. Nolan for more details or to sign up for this service event.

    Illinois AMVETS Service Foundation Scholarships NOW AVAILABLE:  The Illinois AMVETS Service Foundation supports a scholarship program each year that provides graduating Illinois High School students a scholarship for their continued education.  Please visit www.ilamvets.org  for the list of scholarships and criteria.  For more information call 217-528-4713.   • The Oak Lawn Commission Scholarship
